Chinese New Year allows our children to become more knowledgeable and appreciative of the cultures that surround us. Involving our families was such a valuable addition to our learning as well, as we had a Miranda’s mum and grandpa come in to talk to our children about this beautiful celebration, read some stories, and perform the lion dance. Our children became fascinated with this celebration and were so excited to participate in the activities. Anchor also taught us to say ‘Happy New Year’ in Chinese! The children were kindly gifted a red envelope with stickers by Anchor. Thank you to Laura and Anchor for absolutely beautiful morning, a big thank you for spending the morning with us and teaching us about Chinese New Year!
