Kidz on the Avenue welcomes children from 18 months to 6 years old, across our Caterpillars, Bees and Butterflies rooms. Each room follows age-appropriate, play-based learning tailored to your child’s stage of development.
We open from 7:30 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday, 50 weeks a year.
You can enrol directly through our online enrolment portal found on the home page or contact our team, (02) 9570 5359, to arrange a centre tour first. If a spot in your child’s age group isn’t currently available, you can join our waitlist and we’ll notify you as soon as a place opens up.
Your daily fee covers nutritious meals and snacks, qualified early childhood educators, developmentally appropriate programs, school transition and readiness activities, sunscreen, incursions and excursions.
The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy can significantly reduce your out-of-pocket costs, based on your family income and circumstances. Yes — like most early learning services, fees still apply on public holidays that fall on your child’s scheduled day, as educators are entitled to be paid for these days, similar to other industries. The good news is the CCS covers up to 42 absence days per financial year (including public holidays), so most eligible families aren’t out of pocket.
Our day balances free play with structured learning, rest and social time. Mornings begin with family grouping and free play, followed by group mat time and play-based learning covering literacy, numeracy, motor skills and creative activities. Educators also plan intentional teaching experiences based on each child’s interests and stage of development. After a freshly prepared on-site lunch, children have a rest or quiet relaxation period, followed by an afternoon of reflection, show and tell, snacks, free play and group story time. The day winds down with more free play and teacher-guided activities until pick-up!
Our school-readiness program builds literacy, numeracy, independence and social skills through hands-on experiences, incursions, and visits to local schools and libraries — helping children feel confident and prepared for their first day of “big school.”
We use the Kinderloop Plus app to share daily updates, photos, and learning observations, so you can stay connected with your child’s experiences and development.
