We have such great little helpers in the bees and butterflies room! We got a new classroom mat and the children were very excited. They chose this mat because they said they love the alphabet around it and the Aboriginal design in the middle!
We decided that we’d all work together as a team to get our old mat out and our children’s new classroom mat in. The children did such a great job working together using their strong muscles and communication skills to achieve their goal, so proud of you bees and butterflies. Thank you so much for your help!
As we continue to embed Aboriginal culture into our program, including children’s choice in this is essential to support and encourage them in their own learning journey.
The children are excited to create room decorations for their classroom and work together with their educators to choose some new resources for our classroom, with this helping to create a sense of ownership and comfort.
