We had so much fun celebrating Book Week 2026 with this year’s theme, “Symphony of Stories”! Our week was filled with wonderful stories, imagination, creativity and plenty of dressing up.
The children enjoyed reading Room on the Broom and making their own magical wands, exploring a We’re Going on a Bear Hunt themed tuff tray, creating Wombat Stew and making our very own Hungry Caterpillars. We also loved seeing the children arrive dressed as their favourite characters and sharing in the excitement together!
Our school leavers also enjoyed a special excursion to Hurstville Library, hosted by the local council, where they explored the library and enjoyed a wonderful learning experience together.
Book Week is a wonderful opportunity to encourage a love of reading while supporting children’s language, communication, imagination and creativity. It was a joy to see our rooms come alive with stories, characters and so much fun!
