We had a great incursion from Clean-away today! We completed the kNOw Waste Program where we talked all about the importance of not littering and caring for our environment.
We first learnt about garbage trucks and their purpose for the community, and what belongs in the different colour bins.
The children were also really interested to learn about the ‘Litter Journey’ which showed were our rubbish can end up if we don’t put it in bins.
We then enjoyed a felt board experience, where we picked up all the rubbish on the beach, so the animals could return to being healthy and safe in their habitat.
This was such a valuable learning experience, and encourages children to feel a sense of responsibility in taking care of their planet! 🌍♻️⭐️
