Today we had a special visit from Healthy Harold, and we complete the ‘Harold’s Big Feelings’ Module.
Harold’s Big Feelings is designed to support children’s social and emotional learning, supporting their sense of identity, wellbeing and communication skills. Our learning experience today focused on recognising emotions in themselves and others, emotional regulation, friendship and working together, and asking for help.
The children enjoyed a storytime about Harold’s different feelings, including happy, angry, worried, and making observations about feelings in pictures. We then had lots of fun getting active and dancing to music. Our children also became a dream team, working together as they built a tower with cups and flew the parachute to keep Harold afloat! We ended our learning experience with a discussion of what we have learned about expressing our emotions, and who we can always ask for help!
