Curious Minds, Confident Growth
Our Bees room supports children aged 3 to 4 years as they grow into curious, capable and increasingly independent little learners. This is a pivotal stage of development — children are forming friendships, developing early academic skills, and beginning to understand the world beyond themselves — all nurtured through engaging, play-based learning experiences.
Our educators design a program that balances structured learning with child-led exploration, ensuring each child’s natural curiosity drives their development.
Our daily experiences include:
- Group story time and language-rich discussions to build vocabulary
- Hands-on maths and counting games woven into everyday play
- Creative art, craft and construction activities
- Dramatic and imaginative play to build social and emotional skills
- Outdoor physical play to strengthen coordination and confidence
Through our program, children in the Bees room build:
- Early literacy and numeracy foundations through games, stories and songs
- Social skills like sharing, turn-taking, cooperation and friendship-building
- Problem-solving, creativity and critical thinking through open-ended play
- Growing independence in daily routines, including self-care and decision-making
- Emotional awareness and the ability to express feelings constructively
As one of Hurstville’s established childcare centres, we tailor our program to each child’s interests, strengths and pace, laying strong academic and social foundations ahead of their final preschool year. The skills developed in our Bees room directly support a confident transition to school down the track, making this a vital stage in every child’s early learning journey near Hurstville.
