Urban Grow – Planting a Garden

What a fun morning at our Sydney early learning centre, planting our very own fruit and vegetable garden with Farmer Steven!

Meeting Our Garden Helpers
Farmer Steven began with a story about a girl and her veggie garden, then introduced the children to some special helpers β€” the worms! They wriggled and squirmed their way around, excited to say hello.

Learning How Worms Help Our Garden Grow
Farmer Steven explained how worms keep our soil healthy and help plants thrive, then showed the children how to plant fruit and vegetables into the dirt the right way.

Bees, Butterflies and Caterpillars Join the Fun
Our resident caterpillars, bees and butterflies were then invited to plant their own fruit or vegetable too! Together, we now have a beautiful, full garden β€” and we can’t wait to watch it grow delicious produce for the children to enjoy. πŸŽπŸ‹πŸ₯¦πŸ₯•
